Shina Namakian

Undergraduate Student, Level II​

Shina is a second-year Honours Biochemistry student at McMaster University. She discovered a fascination with cancer immunotherapy and Natural Killer (NK) cells after an engaging immunology course in her first year. This burgeoning interest led her to delve deeper into the study of the innate immune system and its interactions with various malignancies. Currently, Shina is working alongside Leila and Misaal on a project focusing on the cultivation of NK cells, aiming to uncover new insights that can contribute to the development of innovative immunotherapies. Shina is eager to explore the therapeutic potentials in immunology to combat diseases and is excited about the prospects of her contributions to the field.
